If you consider yourself patriotic, there’s a good chance that you try to buy American-made products. This doesn’t mean, however, that these products have to come from American companies. Many foreign carmakers, for example, make their vehicles in the U.S., including Hyundai. In fact, several of its models – including the Hyundai Santa Fe – recently made the 2025 Cars.com American-Made Index, and Keyes Hyundai has the details.

American-Made Index Criteria

To come up with their list of 99 vehicles, Cars.com evaluated over 400 2025 models. Four key points were examined:

  • Final assembly location
  • Percentage of U.S. parts
  • Origin of engines and transmissions
  • Number of U.S. manufacturing employees relative to the automaker’s footprint

Five Hyundai Models Made the Cut

In addition to the Hyundai Santa Fe, four other Hyundai models made the Cars.com index, including:

  • Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
  • Hyundai IONIQ5
  • Hyundai Tucson
  • Hyundai Santa Cruz

Hyundai’s Long-Term Commitment

Hyundai has been making cars in the U.S. for decades, and it has manufacturing facilities in Alabama and Georgia. The company recently announced an additional $21 billion investment that is expected to add an extra 100,000 jobs, and it is incredibly proud to have made the Cars.com index. Said Randy Parker, president and CEO, Hyundai Motor North America:

“Having five vehicles on the Cars.com American-Made Index underscores Hyundai’s deep commitment to U.S. manufacturing and innovation. This recognition reflects our substantial and ongoing investment in American workers, our expanding production footprint, and our relentless focus on delivering vehicles that cater to the needs of U.S. customers.”
