Los Angeles is a great town, but nobody gets nostalgic for the traffic. If you need a new car to deal with the congestion, you should look for one with two qualities: excellent fuel economy and many standard tech features to help keep you safe and entertained when things are bumper-to-bumper. In both categories, these three Hyundai hybrids shine.
Hyundai Elantra Hybrid
This sedan comes with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that combine to produce 139 horsepower. It has excellent agility, allowing great maneuverability when things get crowded. It has many advanced tech features, including HD and satellite radio, wireless smartphone connectivity, a pair of USB ports, and — like most new Hyundai models — a full complement of Hyundai SmartSense® driver assist features.
Hyundai IONIQ
The Hyundai IONIQ also comes with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and an electric motor with 139 horsepower. Its athleticism and small size make it easy to fit in snug parking spots.
The Hyundai IONIQ is a plug-in hybrid, and its battery can be fully charged with a 120-volt household outlet in about 6.5 hours. A 240-volt outlet will charge it in a little over two hours. It will give you 29 miles of driving range solely on electricity. Standard tech features include Bluetooth®, HD radio, and wireless smartphone connectivity.
Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid comes in two different varieties. The regular hybrid has a turbocharged 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that produce 226 net horsepower. If you opt for the plug-in, you will get a turbocharged 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that generate 261 net horsepower.
The plug-in offers up to 30 miles of driving range just using electricity, and the battery can be fully charged with a 240-volt outlet in about four hours. It comes standard with wireless device charging, HD and satellite radio, and smartphone connectivity.
We don't blame you if you want to experience these hybrids’ capabilities! Why not visit Keyes Hyundai for a test drive?
